Why are Work at Home Jobs so Hard to Find?

Why are Work at Home Jobs so Hard to Find?

Many people want to make money at home and they want to find a work at home job to do it with. Ultimately what happens is they become frustrated as they search from website to website looking for the right job. This brings up the question, why are work at home jobs so hard to find? In this article we will take an honest look at this problem.

1. First of all you should know that most of the opportunities to work at home are not actually paid jobs. This is true because most employers do not know you and have no control over the work environment when you do it from the comfort of your own home.

If you realistically think about this, why would someone pay you an hourly rate when they do not know if you are really working or not? Therefore many of the opportunities to work at home are actually in the form of business opportunities where you work for yourself.

2. There really are some companies looking for people to work from home. This phenomenon is known as telecommuting and does provide an opportunity for people with legitimate skills to get paid working from home.

This benefits both the company and the worker because the business does not need to provide a space for you to work from, and as an employee you do not have to get up and drive to work every day.

Many companies now will offer work at home jobs that include an hourly rate and benefits. These benefits can include paid vacation, retirement plan, and health insurance.

One such website or you can visit is Tjobs.com. They match employers looking for workers with employees who are looking for opportunities to telecommute. This works out very well for people who have skills such as sales, customer service, website design, and other categories.

3. Another thing I want to talk about is websites that present themselves as work at home jobs doing data entry, taking paid surveys, and typing at home. Generally these websites are trying to sell you information on how to get involved in this type of work.

There are companies who will pay you for your opinion, or to do data entry and typing. The websites that are selling you the information deserve to be paid because they have taken the time to develop a list of companies for you to contact.

In the future work at home jobs will become more readily available. Until that point you need to be conscious and only deal with reputable companies before spending any of your hard earned money.

    There is no such thing.

    No risk = no benefit.

    No skills = no jobs

Most people who "work from home" had the same job with the same company but the company made the money saving decision to either move them home, or let them work from home to keep a good employee.

    The rest are bs.

Have you tried babysitting in your home?? I charged $800 per month for 2 brothers before and now I'm licensed and I charge $700 per month per child. I can have up to 8 children(including your own). You can make a lot of money doing this and be able to stay home with your kids but it is a lot of hard work(being licensed that is). There are so many rules and paperwork and it is so hard attracting the customers cuz there's a lot of competition out there but it's worth it cuz I love it. Maybe you can try it with one family first. You don't need a license for one family. And if you love it you can go to your state's Dept. of Social Services and ask about how to get licensed. Good luck…

I don't know of any company that will hire someone to work out of their home. I would suggest you start your own home based business. I know something that may be of interest to you. If you are serious about wanting to work out of your home. I think judging by what you stated that you would be good at and I think you'd enjoy doing. It has a huge income opportunity for you and I think you'll like it. If you'd like to take a look at their web site, email me and I'd be happy to send it to you.
    Good Luck!

The short answer to your question is No!

When you ask a question like this there are only two basic kinds of answers you are going to get:

    1. Responses (like this one) telling you that you are going to get a bunch of spam about scams.

    2. Spam, including 12 that posted answers to your question. (Some of the spammers may give me a thumbs down but that's OK with me. They are still spam. I have influence in the community; they don't.)

You won't make a sufficient amount of money with just a "home job". You will be lucky to make minimum wage. If this is a sufficient amount of income for you, I can refer you over to a few places to apply to. I won't say you will get the job, but you can apply for it.
If your going to put in the time in a home "job" and make minimum wage, you'd be better off starting your own home based business where the income opportunity is far greater then that. The same opportunity as a traditional business, but with less overhead, less head aches and less time.
You just need to find one that you'd enjoy getting involved in and one that has a great compensation plan. Most home based business cost under $500. Some cost more depending on what it is you want to do.
I don't know what you like to do, so I can only tell you what my husband and I started over six years ago and point you out to some others to take a look at. Ours well supports our family of six. We have four children ages 10, 6, 3 and 1. It is also becoming a major funding source for non-profit organizations.
We got involved in the telecommunications industry with a world wide company that's over 15 years old. We've been featured in several magazines Inc 500 rated us the 22nd fastest growing company. They offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway, but now they can have a lower cost. Services such as local and long distance phones, Internet, digital phones, video phones (you can see the person your taking to live)VOIP, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltell, Nextell etc. have partnered up with them too.
How many people do you know, or know of, that uses one or more of these services? How would you feel if you could save people money on services that they're already using? Every time they pay their bills each month, you make a percentage off these bills every single month. Huge income opportunity. It's incredible how much money is involved in this industry.

I also created a blog on my 360 page on home based business's. There's over half a dozen different ones to take a look at. Your more then welcome to browse through them for some ideas.

it really depends on what sort of skills you have. my dad has a computer and basically makes a very tough living (it is hard work) working from home. he does all this fancy IT stuff and designing and trying to win audit contracts etc. he does it. you pretty much have to work for yourself if you wanna work at home.
