Everyone's situation is different. However I love living near my parents — I'm within a 5-10 minute walk. As close as we live to them, I really don't see them a whole lot — maybe once a month or so. It's great that they are that close, especially now that we're expecting our first child. My husband's parents are only a 10 minute drive from us. When it comes to the holidays the proximity of both our parent's is great. However neither of our sets of parents are the kind to just drop in and always be in our business.

Financially I recommend being prepared for those once a year and once a quarter bills. I highly recommend getting an Esgrow account and having your mortgage cover your property taxes and homeowners insurance if possible. Once a year we also get a trash bill, car insurance, water, and sanitation are all once a quarter for us. Also have a back-up credit card (or even better yet a savings account) in case a window gets broke or you need to replace the hot water heater or furnace.

Are you asking us to pick this apart and take out the important information for you?

Look if you are serious about acting then only you can do the work. Read through it yourself and highlight the parts that stand out. If you don't do the research and the work yourself it is pointless and that means you are lazy and directors don't like lazy actors.

who said you needed college to be happy? it sounds to me you just want to go because your parents are telling you to go. do what you want to do. if you have to put college on hold. then do it. if you don't want to go then don't go. (don't have to worry about being in debt!) Just work for right now and get some money for yourself. you're young. enjoy life. young people shouldn't have no worries. Thank goodness my parents don't force me to do anything. I'd probably be stressed. lol

Hey girl, as a previous game addict and with one who has a slight addiction I have to say I feel you. Though the whole thing is we were both gamers and sometimes it would be him getting the cold shoulder from me and my computer games.

Now you say you have talked to him, but have you really talked to him? It seems like hubby is being a big baby. He needs to grow up and face some facts – and they’re probably ones he’s not going to like. Everything you said to us? You need to say to him. Seriously. Turn that game off, sit his butt in a chair facing him, and say “We Need To Talk.” And if he’s smart he’s going to tune in real quick. Those are the magic words.

Counseling would probably be good for you both after you’ve told him what you’ve said here – you need to tell him that the only way that you two will work as a married couple is if he agrees to go to counseling and get some control under his gaming. It’s not fair to you that you’re working all day and he’s working hardly at all and spending your money. I’m sure he’ll throw some sort of depression whining card about not being able to get a job – well you see him sitting in front of the TV all day, how is he looking for one? Call that man out! He’s getting away with it like he’s a teenage boy living at mom and dads.

Since you want to save this marriage, which is a first step. The second step is getting your husband on board to the train of Marriage Repair. Honestly, your best course of action is telling him what you have said here and then both of you getting counseling. He needs some structure in his life – work, chores, quality time with the wife, and then quality time with whatever he wants to do. It’s not okay to sit in front of a TV all day every day to play video games. A good idea, turn off the cable. He cannot play with people online that way. Also he needs to get more hours at the job he has or pick up another job. No more excuses, he used your savings, which means it’s time for him to change.

Good luck, hope it works out! God Bless!

List everything. So, yes. You want the resume to contain no "blank" spaces for time in your employment history. I once was laid off from a bank and went like 6 months without a job, during this time I ran our community pool, although there was no pay involved, I did the things you normally do in running a small business. I do list that in my history, as I want no gaps. That could also be considered volunteer work, which should/could be listed on resumes. Good luck in what you decide.
